Meet Kanyana Sharon

Kanyana Sharon is a spirited and caring 3-year-old from Nkokonjeru, Uganda. She lives with her devoted single mother, Mutesi Shanita, who works tirelessly to care for her little girl but faces the daily hardships of life without a steady income. Like many single mothers in the area, Mutesi struggles to provide a stable home, relying on rented accommodations and uncertain work opportunities.
Sharon dreams of becoming a nurse, inspired by a desire to care for others and make a difference in her community. Yet, her path to achieving this dream is full of obstacles, and she needs support to access a quality education and a brighter future.
