About DAB Health Centre

DAB Health Centre is a community-focused medical facility established in 2016 in Kira Municipality, Uganda. We are dedicated to providing affordable, compassionate, and holistic healthcare to children, youth, mothers, and families. Our services include outpatient care, antenatal support, immunization, child health, counselling, diagnostics, and wellness programs that strengthen the wellbeing of underserved communities.

Driven by a commitment to health equity, DAB Health Centre continues to expand its impact through the DAB Wellness Center — ensuring families receive timely, dignified, and life-changing care regardless of their background or income level.

DAB works closely with PSM Charity as a strategic partner to extend health, wellness, and community outreach services. While DAB leads all medical operations, PSM Charity supports mobilization, community engagement, and social welfare programs.
Together, we ensure that underserved communities receive the care, support, and dignity they deserve.

Our Founder’s Story

Betty Nakibuuka Izizinga’s life has been shaped by compassion, resilience, and a deep desire to help others. As a child, she dreamed of caring for vulnerable children and families. After losing her parents at a young age, she experienced hardship that strengthened her determination to uplift others.

Becoming a nurse fueled her calling to make a real difference in the lives of underserved communities. In 2016, she founded DAB Health Centre with a mission to provide accessible, holistic, and dignified healthcare to those who needed it most.

Today, her vision continues to grow through the DAB Wellness Center and the Healing Horizons initiative, impacting thousands across several districts. Betty remains a mother-figure to many, known for her warmth, leadership, and unwavering dedication to community health.

Why We Do What We Do

Uganda faces rising mental health needs, drug abuse challenges among youth, and limited access to affordable diagnostics and medical care. Many families cannot reach health services early, leading to preventable suffering.
DAB Wellness Center exists to bridge this gap — providing timely, compassionate, and holistic care that strengthens families, restores dignity, and empowers entire communities.
